HPREC and HP Web Sites
... for HP and Agilent retirees
Now that you've joined the Club, we want you to be well-informed.

www.hp.com/retiree is maintained by HP on behalf of its retirees
and is your path to all other Web sites mentioned in this section. Bookmark it! How to obtain
password information for certain areas of these Web sites will appear below under Passords.
Do you know:
… that HP makes many employee discounts with local and nationwide vendors available to retirees?
… how to find HP or Agilent contact information if you change your mailing address?
… how to find the Employee Purchase Program (EPP) Web site to see discounted prices on HP products?
… how to locate volunteer activities?
… how to order HP retiree logo merchandise?
… how to keep informed about what’s happening inside HP?
The HP Retiree Web site has four main resource areas:
#1 - HP News & Information - the “HP Contacts” link includes HP and Agilent Contact
and Change of Address information, plus daily/weekly news updates.
Click on Daily News and Feature Stories (password needed). Browse the many links
offering information about HP (Remembrances, Environment/recycling, HP History, etc).
A new link: Additional HP Historical Information was added in 2010. There you will find
three archivist’s Web sites, hosted by guest speakers who were part of a presentation to retirees in
June 2007 at HP. The first link, beginning with “Online Museum” is thanks to Kenneth Kuhn in
Alabama; the second link, beginning with “Collectors and Curators” is thanks to Glenn Robb, No.
Carolina; and the third link “The HP Memory Project” is thanks to Marc Mislanghe, all the way from
Paris. All three are excited to have their very rich Web sites accessible to HP and Agilent retirees.
You’ve got to see them! Note: Desktop and pocket calculator sections were added to Marc’s Web site.
Stock Quote and Price History for HP can be found on the www.hp.com
Web site, under Investor Relations, Stock Information. Stock price history for HP, Agilent, and Verify
can be found on the HPAA Web site (more information below under Other Helpful HP-related sites,
www.hpalumni.org) if you become a member of their organization.
#2 - Get Involved - you’ll find our HPREC Web site here, by clicking “Retiree
Clubs, Groups and Alumni Networking,” then “Bay Area.” Click “Yes” when prompted. Other links
include HP’s Facebook for retirees, volunteering with HP, etc. To receive periodic e-mails from HP
of interest to retirees, choose to Opt-in to Stay Connected to HP. This is a separate e-mail
database from the HPREC e-mail directory. For privacy reasons, these databases cannot be shared.
Also, if you’re having a problem with an HP product and you’ve tried the normal Tech Support path
without proper resolution, click on “HP Brand Ambassador resources”, scroll to Ambassador Tools,
click on “Executive Customer Relations” (ECR) for a contact phone number at HP Palo Alto HQ.
#3 - Shopping, Discounts & Special Offers is where you’ll find the Employee &
Retiree Purchase Program (EPP), Discount Programs from HP vendors, and the Passport card (2-for-1
dinners). Password needed.
HP Branded Gear can be found here via the “Overview” link (folding chair w/retiree logo shown.)
Password needed.
#4 - Benefits - occasional updates on HP and Agilent benefit matters, the latest
Medicare FLASH presentation, plus connection to Addison Avenue Federal Credit Union
(soon to be First Tech Federal Credit Union, assuming merger approval in December 2010)/Addison Avenue
Financial Partners Web site.
Take a moment to browse the Retiree Information Directory A-Z on the home page (site map) just to see
what’s available. On that page, you can click on a link to go directly to the information you’re
looking for.

where you will find information on:

- Volunteer activities (both in the community and with your Club)
- Last six issues of your Club newsletter
- Board members available to assist you

- How to stay connected with other retirees via e-mail
Stay Connected via E-mail (HP, HPREC, HPAA)
To receive periodic e-mails from organizations that fit your interests, you have three places to
sign up. For privacy reasons, these cannot be shared.
1) For e-mails from HP, choose to “Join HP’s retiree email list” from the Web site below.
This is a separate e-mail database from the HPREC e-mail directory. You are encouraged to sign up here
for occasional messages pertinent to retirees (not merchandise ads), including annual CEO event updates.
This is your primary link to timely information.
2) For e-mails from HPREC, go to our Club home page, select Retiree e-mail directory.
We really encourage you to add your e-mail address - read the features and benefits of joining, and
follow the instructions.
Once you add your e-mail address, your Club membership and secure election will be quickly confirmed
via e-mail, and you will receive Club-specific password information that allows you to re-enter
to a) update a changed e-mail address or b) change your Member Options. Joining the e-mail
directory allows you to look for friends and former co-workers and make a connection, and if you elect,
allows a member of our Club Board to be able to communicate with you in between newsletters. Try it;
you can always change your mind later.
These separate Member Options are:
a) Elect NOT to receive a copy of the HPREC NEWS in the U.S. mail. I prefer to read it online in
full color in its one-column format (very readable, less cost to Club, maintains low dues.) It’s
available at www.hpretirees.com/hprec. Print off a sign-up form
for an activity or trip you wish to participate in. We will continue to mail a paper newsletter to those
who choose to receive it in the postal mail.
b) Be notified by e-mail each time a new issue of the HPREC NEWS is posted on the HPREC Web site.
This e-mail will be FROM hprec-bayarea@hpretirees.com.
c) Elect to receive periodic e-mail messages from a Board member or representative, such as general
announcements and news articles that missed the deadline for the last HPREC NEWS. This e-mail will be
FROM hprec-bayarea@hpretirees.com and may occur approx. one/month. If you have a list of approved senders,
please add this e-mail address to your list.
3) For e-mails from HP Alumni Association, go to www.hp.com/retiree,
click on “Retiree Clubs, Groups and Alumni Networking,” scroll down to Alumni Groups, or go directly to their
Web site www.hpalumni.org and follow the “To Join” instructions.

There are user names and passwords for different access points in the
above Web sites.
- For HPREC, you will need access information for the Club's Online
E-mail Directory.
- For HP, you will need different access information for HP News, HP
Passport Unlimited, and HP Branded Gear.
- For Bay Area Employee Programs, you will need access information for
Discounts (same as HP News).
There are three ways to obtain user names and passwords.
1) If you receive the paper version of the Club's newsletter, look in the
Carol's Corner article for all of the information needed.
2) If you have opted to receive an e-mail notification that the Club's
newsletter has been posted online AND you elected NOT to receive a paper
version (save a tree/postage) and will read it online, the e-mail
notification from hprec-bayarea@hpretirees.com will provide you all of
the same user names and passwords you will need. This information is NOT
printed in the online newsletter for security reasons.
Note: #'s 1 and 2, you will be provided the access information if you are
a Club member and whether you were employed by HP or Agilent.
3) From the HP Retiree home page at www.hp.com/retiree (at bottom of
lower left navigation column) click on Forget the password? link and
request this information.
Note: You will be sent an e-mail from HP, after your HP retiree status
has been quickly verified.
